Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic University (CAPU) (Previously called Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic) was founded in 1965. It is situated in Chengdu, the city with a cultural history over one thousand years old, also known as “The Land of Abundance”. CAP is a full-time college directly under the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, and is one of the first 28 demonstration colleges among the 1,300 higher vocational and technical colleges nationwide. CAP covers about 900 mu (600,000 square meters) and has approximately 12,000 full-time students and 450 full-time teachers.
